Here at Kochis Orthodontics, we have two doctors dedicated to providing our patients with beautiful smiles.
Dr. Lisa Kochis
Dr. Lisa Kochis is a unique kind of orthodontist. Her warm, fun personality and focus on clinical excellence will help both children and adults truly enjoy their orthodontic experience. Dr. Kochis feels that it is her professional obligation to stay at the forefront in her specialty of orthodontics both with clinical and technological advancements.
Dr. Kochis earned her doctorate at the University of Oklahoma and completed her residency specializing in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Her continuing participation in advanced post-doctoral education ensures that every patient’s orthodontic treatment is held to the most exacting standards of modern care. Dr. Kochis even assists with education of the future pediatric dentistry residents at the University of Kentucky.
Yet, despite her clinical expertise, Dr. Kochis’ most compelling feature is something all too rare in today’s rushed world: she takes the time to relate to every single patient. Children and adults all find that Dr. Kochis is able to make their individual care a top priority.
Dr. Kochis is a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, Bluegrass Dental Society, American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists and the Kentucky Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Kochis and her husband, Chris, have been married since 1993 and have one child.
Dr. Ashley Mencarelli
Dr. Mencarelli is a full time associate at both our Lexington and Georgetown locations. Dr. Mencarelli is originally from the small town of Cortland, which is located in North East Ohio. She attended Miami University for her undergraduate education, and subsequently attended the University of Kentucky for dental school. During her four years of dental school, she fell in love with orthodontics and the city of Lexington, and chose to continue on to orthodontic residency here at the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Mencarelli grew up around the field of dentistry and knew she would pursue dentistry as a career at an early age, both her father and grandfather are general dentists. Dr. Mencarelli lives here in Lexington with her husband Eric, their son James and their two dogs. In her free time she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and experimenting with new recipes. She also enjoys volunteering in the Lexington area, especially at the Mission Lexington Dental Clinic.
